日本では「芸術的カリスマ性が高まると苗字呼び捨てになる現象」がある。そのカリスマの1人がトガシである。トガシとは冨樫義博という漫画家で、幽遊白書やレベルEの作者である。現在HUNTERxHUNTERという超人気作品を執筆中であるが、遅々として進まない。SNS等で何か発信すれば読者から「いいから漫画を書け」と叱られる。もうネタ化している。
少し前、日本のバラエティ番組で冨樫先生にHUNTERxHUNTERのエンディングについて手紙で尋ねる企画があり、なんとそれに応じたのである。彼曰く、Plan A, B, Cの3パターンの候補があるとのこと。もちろん非公表。加えてトガシはPlan Dという、彼がもし執筆中に亡くなった場合の最終話のシナリオを提供した。実はこの一連の記事がめちゃくちゃ英語で出回っている。世界中から「いいから早く書け」と言われている。

Not too long ago, there was a TV variety show segment in Japan where Togashi-sensei was asked about the ending of "HUNTER x HUNTER" through a letter. Surprisingly, he responded. He mentioned having three candidates for the ending: Plan A, B, and C, whose scenario wasn’t disclosed. But Togashi provided a scenario of Plan D, which is the final chapter in case he were to pass away while still working on it. Interestingly, this whole series of articles has circulated widely in English, with fans worldwide echoing the sentiment, "Just write it already!"
